This Saturday was a beautiful day. I joined the Portland Urban Sketchers again for this month’s sketchcrawl; catching the tail end of the cherry blossoms at Waterfront Park. The sunny, warm weather brought everybody out, including many photographers and plein air painters. Everyone delighted in the cherry blossoms, snapping iPhone photos of babies in strollers, goofing tourists, and just about everybody under the floating petals. But foliage continues to challenge me, and well, the Steel Bridge was right there…
I only had time to do the ink while there and I scanned it before adding color at home.
The watercolor brought out the cherry blossoms, but I like it either way.
Both very beautiful!
Really beautiful. I’m partial to the color. 🙂
